After Melton_Street, Astley_Terrace, Colville_Road, Grove_Road and the south side of Briston_Road, the next set of houses built, were a line of ten houses on the north side of Briston_Road that ran east from the Co-op shop on the corner of Kitchener_Road towards Burgh_Beck_Road and they became known as Ferndale Terrace. Later four more houses were added in 1898 - Arrendale House, Avondale House and Bure Cottages nos. 1 and 2.  When Melton Constable houses were eventually renumbered, some time during the 1950s, the name Ferndale Terrace was dropped and the houses became part of Briston Road.
